Castello Ursino was built on ancient Greek foundations. Its interior features some impressive stone vaulting. This castle houses a museum that displays landscapes from the 19th century and portraits.

Chiesa Santa Maria dell'Indirizzo:

This picturesque church has an elegant façade with a neon sign saying Viva Maria. It is located in front of Piazza dell'Indirizzo. Visitors will find in Chiesa Santa Maria interesting Baroque and Rococo ornaments. To the southern side of the church are located ancient Roman ruins.

These ancient Roman bathes were made of black volcanic rocks and terra cotta bricks. Close to them, there is a Greek cross building made of black lava.

Porta Carlo V:

This structure is one of the rare that survived the 1693 earthquake. To the left of the Porta, visitors will find a neoclassical square full of fish vendors encircled by early 1600s buildings.
